Motor Truck Cargo Insurance

Motor Truck Cargo insurance (Cargo) generally provides insurance for liability assumed by the carrier while cargo is in their care, custody, or control.

It is very important to know exactly what kind of cargo policy you are purchasing. Every cargo policy is different, and can have exclusions that could leave you paying out of pocket if your customer is not satisfied with the delivery of their product.

Cargo Liability
Limits are available from $100,000 - $10,000,000
We recommend $200,000 minimum coverage as most brokers will not deal with a carrier that has less than this amount.

Additional coverage available:
Earned Freight Coverage
Optional coverage to pay for freight shipping revenues which are un-collectable because of loss or damage to the goods being hauled, coverage up to $20,000.

Debris Removal Coverage
Pays for the removal of debris created as a result of an accident.
